The congregation that is now Messiah Lutheran started on February 16, 1941 at a home in Mounds View, MN. Over the years the congregation has grown and developed in many different ways. Old buildings have been torn down and new buildings have been erected, but one thing has remained the same; our purpose for being here.
From the very first day in that little bungalow, Messiah has been here to share the Savior who came into this world to live, die and rise again so that we might be forgiven and receive the glories of heaven. That mission has motivated the people that call Messiah home from the very beginning. The newest expression of that that mission is our Vision statement that states that Messiah is about “Sharing the Savior and Developing Disciples”.
We hope you will join us in getting to know the Savior and serving others. It is a mission that lasts a lifetime and there is no more important purpose.
