Messiah’s Sunday School esteems our children, highly. We believe that all children are called to be witnesses for Christ and that theme underpins our Sunday School program. Children 3 years through 5th grade are welcome to participate Sunday mornings 9:45 – 10:45AM. Contact Mary 763-780-1248, Roleene 763-786-2274 or Mike 763-767-8086.
Holyland Jouneys provides adventure and fun as we explore the Bible. This fall we are studying the great men of the Jesse tree, ancestors of Jesus. We start with Adam and Eve, followed by Noah and Abraham. Children will be in groups of 10-15 lead by Adult shepherds. The shepherd will stay with the goup for 13 weeks. After 13 weeks the groups will change. Each Sunday, groups will travel to different rooms to experience the story of the Bible in different ways. Learning may take place through drama, cooking, science, arts and crafts or research. Holyland Journeys is for our 3rd-5th graders. Growing in Christ is for 3 year olds through 2nd graders. This curriculum has great visuals and helps us teach children the grace and love of God in each lesson. Each Class will meet in their own space in the Preschool area. We have found that most of our children don't know the children in other grades. Therefore, this year the 1st and 2nd graders will meet together. And the 3-5th graders will be mixed in Holyland Journey. If you haven't registered your child yet, you can print this form, Sunday School Registration, and bring it to church with you next Sunday. |
