Week 7 – Baptism

This week we will explore the Fourth Chief Part of the Catechism, the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.  As we will discover this week, Baptism is not just a single event that happens in the life of the Christian – it becomes a part of who you are and shapes your identity as a believer.

Although God uses simple means (like water) for Baptism, the true power comes through His Word, which can accomplish anything!  Just as God the Father created the heavens and the earth by saying ‘let there be light,’ through water and the Word, God drowns the old sinful person in us, and makes us new creations in Christ.
