WELCOME PICNIC AND “PANTRY SHOWER" for the Kollmanns

Wednesday, August 1, 5:00pm

Join in the fun at a picnic at Messiah on Wednesday, August 1 with the Kollmanns as the guests of honor.  This is a great opportunity to relax and get to know Pastor Chris and his wife, Stephanie, better.  This is also a great time to help them fill their cupboards and desks as they get settled in Minnesota and learn about Minnesota products and companies.  If you wish, please bring ONE item from a company based (or has roots) in Minnesota, such as Hormel, Green Giant, General Mills, 3M, Target, etc.  or a home-grown item.  The picnic dinner will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. and will include hot dogs, beans, chips, watermelon and dessert.  There will be games for children to enjoy.  The picnic will take place outside on the east side of the church (or in the Crossroads in case of rain or excessive heat).  Bring a chair and/or blanket if you like.  Limited outdoor seating will be available.

About the Kollmanns...

We are very excited to have been assigned a new associate pastor from the Seminary!  His name is Christopher Kollmann and he is a lifelong LCMS Lutheran from Eastchester, NY.  His wife Stephanie is originally from Tampa, FL. They have been married for one year.  They enjoy hiking, camping, reading, outdoor activities, and cooking.

Chris received a BA in Judeo-Christian Heritage and Mathematics from Concordia College, Bronxville, NY, in 2008.  Stephanie received a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL, in 2009.  Chris has worked as a summer camp counselor and part-time as a caddy at a country club.  He currently works part-time as a youth worker at a Lutheran church.  Stephanie has worked as a summer camp counselor, as an activities leader for school-age children, and as a speech pathology assistant.

We are delighted that they are coming to Minnesota and the staff is looking forward to working with them. Please keep them in your prayers!
